Qemoravin sets no cookies at all. What we do use is two entries in your browser's own local storage, and this page lists both of them by name so you can check for yourself.

There are no cookies on this site. There is no advertising network, no analytics product, no embedded video player, no social sharing widget, and no font or script loaded from another company's server. When you open a page on qemoravin.pro your browser talks to qemoravin.pro and to nothing else.
Two things are written into local storage — a record of your choice on the notice bar so it stops appearing, and an anonymous counter that tells us which pages get read. Neither can identify you, neither is readable by anyone other than this site, and both can be removed in about ten seconds using the instructions further down.
It is worth explaining the distinction because most policies blur it. A cookie is sent to the server with every single request your browser makes, which is what makes cookies useful for tracking people across sites. Local storage is not transmitted anywhere — it sits in your browser, it is readable only by the site that wrote it, and the server never sees it unless the page's own JavaScript deliberately sends it. Ours does not.
We chose local storage precisely for that reason. It is the smallest mechanism that does the job, and it means we could not build a profile of you even if we decided to, because the data never reaches us.

That is the complete list. If you open your browser's developer tools and inspect storage for this domain you should find those two keys and nothing else. If you find something else, we would genuinely like to know about it — please tell the desk.
The notice bar offers two choices and it is worth being precise about the difference, since on most sites it is substantial and here it is almost nothing.

Choosing Essential only costs you nothing. Every page, every write-up, the genre filter, the scoring accordion and the enquiry form all work identically. The one entry still written is the record of that choice itself, because without it the bar would ask you again on every page, which would be worse for you rather than better.
Clearing site data for qemoravin.pro removes both entries and the notice bar will appear again on your next visit, letting you choose differently. There is no separate preference centre to hunt through, because with two keys a preference centre would be more complicated than the thing it manages.

Blocking JavaScript entirely also works, and the site is built so that most of it still functions if you do. You will lose the genre filter on the write-ups page, the scoring accordion and the form's inline checks, but every word of the writing remains readable.
Our web host records standard request logs — a truncated network address, the page requested, the time, and the browser's user-agent string. This is a normal part of serving a website rather than a tracking mechanism, it happens regardless of anything stored in your browser, and the logs are overwritten after thirty days. We look at them only when something is broken.
Should we ever need to add something — and we can only foresee that happening if the site grew far beyond four people — we would update this table before the change went live, not afterwards, describe it in the next digest, and reset the notice bar so everyone gets to choose again. We have no plans to do so.
